The porter’s tomb is a second pilgrimage center. The former St. Anne monastery church now holds the tomb and relic shrine of Saint Conrad of Parzham.
From St. Anne’s church to Conrad’s shrine
Consecrated in 1657 as the Franciscan monastery church of St. Anne, it became a Capuchin church. Conrad entered this community in 1849 and served for about 41 years at its door. His remains were brought into the church in 1912. Beatified in 1930 and canonized in 1934, he gave the church its present title in 1953. The church was renewed in 2017–2018.
Find the glass shrine above his original grave and the nine floor tablets drawn from his novitiate resolutions. The 2017–2018 work also brought a Tau cross into the renewed interior.
