How long you have

Begin with the Annunciation and do not rush the hidden life

Nazareth holds the hidden beginning of Christian pilgrimage. Here the Church hears Mary's fiat, confesses that the Word became flesh, and contemplates the ordinary years of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. Its sacred geography is compact, but the two principal Franciscan churches are not interchangeable: the Annunciation belongs to Mary's consent and the Incarnation; Saint Joseph's keeps a distinct domestic tradition.
